Thousands on Mono Lake as this is a major staging post, they feed on Larvae which hatch in their billions at this time of year.
Juvenile.
Adult summer males migrate south with the juv's as they incubate the eggs and rare the young.
Adult summer male and off-spring perhaps.
Red-necked Phalarope. Phalaropus fulicaria.
Juvenile and very common.
